This temporary fuel tank is something I’ve needed for sometime. I’ve tried using spare motorcycle tanks, which I thought would be ideal, but they just didn’t work out for one reason or another. I decided to rethink the whole thing and eventually found this lawn tractor fuel tank. It has a standard 1/4″ male outlet barb on the bottom and is an ideal size for my projects. I didn’t spend a lot of time on the hanger system, I quickly put something together using coat hanger wire just to get it in operation, utilizing the four original mounting holes on the bottom. Using a couple of simple fuel shutoffs and some extra fuel line, I had it working in an hour or so. It’s worked out just fine, I hang it from a step ladder rung though eventually I may refine the hanger system.
