I’m a big fan of spray brake cleaner for general cleaning or degreasing, especially on carburetors and recessed areas of equipment. In fact, I rarely use carburetor cleaner, I prefer brake cleaner for almost everything. I find brake cleaner does a better job and doesn’t leave a film behind like carburetor cleaner does.
There are situations though where brake cleaner is too harsh and may soften or etch the surface being cleaned, usually plastics. In these situations I use plastic-safe “contact cleaner”, designed to clean delicate electrical equipment. This product, though a little pricey, typically $6.00 or more a can at your local big-box store, is an excellent cleaner and is just the trick when degreasing plastic or delicate items that may be damaged by more aggressive cleaners.
Easy to understand,I like it!
