I know, I know, it’s been a while since I’ve posted. Spring and summer are a busy time around here as we have a small hobby farm which can keep us busy during nice weather. I’ve also been quite busy in the shop with a number of projects besides the KZ650, including helping my brother wrap up the rebuild of his Ford 302.
Getting back to the project at hand, here’s the next installment of the top end work on the Kawasaki KZ650… which shows how to remove the valves in preparation for the lapping the valves.
One point I wasn’t clear about in the video was keeping each valve and it’s associated components, i.e, springs, keepers, etc., together as a set. They should also be returned to the same position in the cylinder head they came from.
I have a Kawasaki 650 kz 1978 motorcicle. I live in Argentina, Tandil City, Buenos Aires state. Te motorcicle is property of mi father and i want to resto te complete. Se have 6000 miles, beca use of these is in ver y good forma but since ten years is stoped. Sorry for mí bad inglish, congratulations for all. And perhaps consult in someone theme.
